Welcome to the EE223 module for 2013/2014. We will be distributing the electronic kits over the next few weeks.
Good luck with the module and I hope you enjoy the content.
Kind regards, Derek.
Welcome to the EE223 Digital and Analogue Website for 2012/13. The Analogue content will appear over the next few weeks as this was the site for only the Digital content last year.
The current plan is that the kits will be distributed after the EE223 lecture next Wednesday that runs from 2pm to 3pm. I will announce in lectures how you can collect the kit.
The New Laboratory 3 for EE223 Digital and Analogue Electronics is now available at: New Laboratory 3
Please be aware that there is a reasonable amount of work to complete before the laboratory in building a 0-9 decimal counter with 7-segment display. Each group member needs to have completed this work. The lab assumes that this work is complete in advance and begins from there. If one member of the group has not completed the exercise we will reorganise the group to combine people who have.
As discussed in lectures, this single lab is worth 7% of the overall mark of this module (i.e. 23% of the continuous assessment mark)
Yes, it is 2 weeks and 4 days before the lab, but please don’t leave this to the Thursday night before!
You should have your EE223 kits by now. Most people picked up the kits last Friday. There will be an announcement of another date for picking up the kits this week - most likely the same time on Friday. Once you have your kit, please watch the introduction video and then start working through the experiments at your own leisure.
If you develop up an experiment that you think would be useful for the others in the class, please contact me with a link to a Google sites page (or any alternative) and I will link it to this site.
Kind regards, Derek.
The module EE223 - Digital and Analogue Electronics has begun for the 2010 Semester and I would like to welcome all students to this module. The course notes are available at the top of the menu on the left-hand side of this page. You can download a PDF version for ease of printing. As stated in the first lecture we will probably cover to about Chapter 12/13, so there is no need to print the remainder of the text at this stage. As also discussed in lectures, we will be using the tutorial slot on Monday as lectures for the next few weeks. Derek.
Welcome to the new web site for the digital half of EE223 Digital and Analogue Electronics for the 2010/11 academic year.
